Resident Application: Secure Your Ad-Free Sleep Podcast

Welcome to the Hill Seventeen admissions office.

The standard public broadcast of Harperbury will always remain free. We leave the door on the latch for anyone wandering through the fog who needs a safe place to rest.

However, for those who wish to step permanently out of the rain, we offer the Permanent Resident clearance. By upgrading your status with the town council, you directly fund the maintenance of the radio tower. In return, we grant you access to our classified archives and our dedicated ad-free sleep podcast.

The Benefits of Permanent Residency

We do not just offer an ad-free sleep podcast; we provide you with the tactile, analog tools to build your own auditory sanctuary.

  • Uninterrupted Frequencies: You receive direct access to a private, high-bitrate RSS feed. There are no sponsor reads, no jarring mid-roll advertisements, and no public service announcements. It is just seamless, uninterrupted immersion into Harperbury.

  • The Control Panel: Get full clearance to use our browser-based Soundscape Mixer. Isolate and mix the town’s ambient frequencies (rain, tape hiss, low drones) to your exact specifications.

  • Classified Topography: Unlock the interactive map of Hill Seventeen. Explore the town to uncover hidden narrative audio drops, old photographs, and missing ledger entries.

  • The Sanctuary: Receive an invitation to our private, slow-paced resident forum. Log your dream journals, share your sightings, and connect with other listeners who appreciate the quiet.

Upon completing your application, you will be given a unique, private RSS link. You can paste this single link into Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pocket Casts, or your preferred player. The ad-free sleep podcast will automatically appear in your app just like a normal show, updating every time Rowan broadcasts.

Why is an ad-free experience important?

Sudden changes in volume or tone—like a loud commercial interrupting a quiet story—can severely disrupt your circadian rhythm and cause sleep fragmentation. (To understand how sudden noises disrupt your rest cycles, you can read this clinical overview on environmental sleep disruptions from the [External Link: Insert a DoFollow link to the Sleep Foundation’s article on noise and sleep]). Our ad-free sleep podcast ensures your volume remains perfectly steady all night long.

What exactly is the Soundscape Mixer?

It is a private, interactive dashboard located securely on this website. It functions like Rowan’s analog radio desk. You can use sliders to turn up the sound of rain, lower the volume of the radio static, and create a custom ambient background loop to help you focus
